Stuart Sessions - Biography

Stuart Sessions returned to acting following twenty year diversions in both the army and as an overseas emergency aid worker. He started young, playing Paulina in ‘Winter’s Tale’ and the Duchess of York in 'Richard II' as a boy actor in original practice productions.

Subsequently trained at Birkbeck College, he has most recently been seen as Duke Vincentio in 'Measure for Measure' at the Rose Theatre, in a new play by Griff Phillips, "Endorsement" at the King's Head, at the Courtyard in "Trial of Marie Antoinette" and at the Tristram Bates as the joint lead in Ed Davenport's hard-hitting new, two-hander,'Firefly Hearthbeat'. Other recent theatre credits include Pierre Brochant in ‘Dîner de Cons’ (Dir: Tom Noad), Peter in Bryony Lavery's ‘A Wedding Story' (Dir: Emma Kilbey), Bottom in ‘Mid-summer Night’s Dream’ and Fr Lawrence in ‘Romeo and Juliet’, both of the last at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. Recent films include the lead in a forthcoming integrated live action and animation film, "Cinedrome" (Dir: Rosie Escott); "Vampires Anonymous" (Dir: Will Tennant) and "Dancer" (Dir: James Webber), both in post production.
